I am an Australian of Greek decent and born in Melbourne with having lived here my entire life. Educated at a Technical School where being creative was the main focus and this influenced my decision later on when I entered a career in the making and designing of fine art jewellery. This is where creativity flourished having spent 17 years in the craft from 1986 to 2003.

Ironically it was in 1986 that I also purchased my first SLR film camera and together both taking photographs and making jewellery were a powerful combination of ones ability to express themselves through creativity. Designing jewellery is where I made earnings, and photography is where I spent my earnings. Beginning with my first SLR film camera was the Russian made Zenit 12xp dubbed the “Russian Tank”

I progressed over the years with various camera models and I found that photography as a hobby was too powerful and slowly it began to overpower the other. As a result designing jewellery gave way to the art of taking photographs. The natural landscape and the built environment are the source of my inspiration, they both remain still and motionless as I also wait patiently for when the light is right to capture that moment in time. Going back to my first camera the Zenit, I remember the first pictures ever taken and squeezing the shutter button gave me a buzzing feeling, I still get that same feeling today. Turning my passion into a profession and evolving into an international award-winning photographer today out of my home studio I produce my own Giclee prints and also frame and mount my own photographs to a very high standard bringing perfection into the end result.
